Edition 2026.1. These terms govern use of the public website and public CHSPS materials. Formal accreditation services are governed by the executed accreditation agreement and incorporated controlled documents.

1. Acceptance and scope

By using the CHSPS website, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not use the website. These terms do not create an applicant, accredited, member, employment or advisory relationship.

2. Informational content

Website summaries are provided for convenience. When a controlled CHSPS standard, policy, agreement or decision record conflicts with a summary page, the applicable controlled document or decision record governs.

3. No accreditation by website use

Submitting an inquiry, attending education, joining CHSPS, participating in a pilot, paying a fee or using the Assurance Workspace does not confer accreditation. Accreditation may be claimed only when CHSPS has issued a valid final decision and the status appears in the official Public Verification.

4. No professional advice

CHSPS materials provide standards, accreditation and educational information. They are not legal, medical, tax, psychometric or other professional advice for a particular organization or individual.

5. Intellectual property

Unless otherwise stated, CHSPS owns or licenses the website design, text, graphics, standards identifiers, marks and original publications. Public viewing and reasonable internal organizational use are permitted. Republishing, resale, modification, automated bulk extraction or creating misleading derivative standards is prohibited without permission.

6. Accreditation marks and claims

CHSPS marks may be used only under the Mark & Claims Policy. Membership, applicant, pilot or education-participant status may not be represented as accreditation. Suspected misuse may be submitted through the Report a Claim form for review under the Mark & Claims Policy.

7. User submissions

You represent that information you submit is accurate to the best of your knowledge and that you have authority to submit it. Do not send confidential applicant evidence, protected health information, examination content, payment-card data or other sensitive records through ordinary public forms unless CHSPS expressly provides an approved secure channel.

8. Public comment submissions

Standards comments may be retained as controlled standards-development records and, when authorized or required by procedure, may be summarized or published in disposition records. CHSPS may edit submissions for formatting while preserving substantive meaning.

9. Acceptable use

You may not interfere with website operation, attempt unauthorized access, introduce malicious code, misrepresent CHSPS status or identity, scrape the site in a manner that impairs service, or use CHSPS materials to facilitate fraud or false accreditation claims.

10. Third-party links

Links to external organizations are provided for context or convenience and do not imply endorsement, recognition or control unless CHSPS expressly states otherwise.

11. Education purchases

Education registrations are additionally governed by CHSPS-EDU-100. Participation in CHSPS education has no bearing on eligibility, findings or accreditation decisions.

12. Disclaimer

CHSPS endeavors to keep public information accurate and current but does not warrant that every page will be uninterrupted or error-free. Controlled status pages, standards, policies and verification records are maintained as the authoritative sources identified on the website.

13. Limitation

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, CHSPS is not responsible for indirect or consequential loss arising solely from use of public informational website content. Separate executed agreements govern formal services.

14. Governing law and disputes

Except where mandatory law requires otherwise, these website terms are governed by the laws of the State of Georgia, and website-use disputes may be brought in a court of competent jurisdiction in Fulton County, Georgia. Formal accreditation disputes remain governed by the applicable executed agreement and the published reconsideration and appeals procedures.

15. Severability

If a provision of these terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect to the fullest extent permitted by law.

16. Changes

CHSPS may revise these terms. Material revisions will be dated and identified by a new controlled edition.
